With their new release Herbsthunde, the band presents itself as a trio for the first time and has once again managed to reinvent itself without sacrificing anything in its range of sound and noise. The new sound is boiled down, more precisely articulated, yet so deceptively catchy that the madness it embodies siren-like invites mutual self-destruction. On Herbsthunde, self-created analog-percussive sound cadavers meet synthetically distorted cries for help. These scratch like a poltergeist on walls of guitars, rumble on a massive bass foundation, and lead the descent into the crypt to find the final peace. Lyrically, the band exclusively immortalizes itself in German, once again deliberately refraining from offering the listener any light at the end of the tunnel or even handing over a guidebook.
