HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY, the \u0091supergroup\u0092 led by former MONSTROSITY and VILE frontman and current artwork artist Mike Hrubovcak and Rogga Johansson from PAGANIZER and RIBSPREADER are releasing their third full-length, \u0093Disturbing The Cenotaph\u0094.<\/p>\n
Since the duo, completed by former THE PROJECT HATE drummer Thomas Ohlsson, originally picked up their moniker as an homage to the 1981 cult horror flick of the same name, it shouldn\u0092t come as a surprise they\u0092ve once again paying tribute to director Lucio Fulci (1927-1996) in one of this album most lethal salvo, \u0091New York Ripper\u0092. Elsewhere on this third album, other tracks like \u0091Undead Apocalypse\u0092 or \u0091Burial Disturbance\u0092 were inspired by other famous horror classics like \u0093Night Of The Living Dead\u0094 and \u0093The Texas Chainsaw Massacre\u0094, Hrubovcak has come up in his lyrics with his own tales of terror. <\/p>\n
Some are totally fictional like, \u0091Coffin Colony\u0092 about a \u0093diseased homeless living in underground coffins who gets infected with rabies after eating sewer rats\u0094. Others, like \u0091Lunatic Butcher\u0092 are inspired by real-life events or, in that case, by the antics and vicious killings of Paul John Knowles, dubbed \u0091the Casanova killer\u0092.<\/p>\n
Musically speaking, Johansson jokes about \u0093every band saying that their new album is their best but that\u0092s actually true here eh eh! This album is HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY on steroids. The sound is broad and impious, the vocals are awesome and the heavy riffing interlaced with occasional melody makes an overall varied, fun and GORY listen!\u0094<\/p>\n
