“The Eternal Sleep\u0094 drags Swedish Death Metal back to its raw, chainsaw snarled roots! Recorded by Tomas Skogsberg at Sunlight Studio and mastered by Dan Swano!<\/p>\n

Initially established in december of 2021 as Damnation by guitarist Ville Esbj\u00f6rn and bassist Liam Curcic in Sickla, Stockholm. Seeking to complete their lineup, lead guitarist Axel Ask was inducted, finally uniting the members that would go on to forge Impurity. Shortly thereafter, with one of their many drummers, Impurity recorded their first demo \u0093Forever Lifeless\u0094 in September 2022, at Studio Pulverisa.<\/p>\n

After the release of \u0093Forever Lifeless\u0094, Impurity went on to play multiple shows throughout Sweden, primarily in their hometown of Stockholm. During this time, Impurity entered the studio in March of 2024, to record their debut album \u0093The Eternal Sleep\u0094 at Sunlight Studio. With Tomas Skogsberg\u0092s production and Dan Swan\u00f6\u0092s mastering work, they brought back a sound of Swedish Death Metal thought to be extinct. Incorporating the styles of bands such as Evocation, Eucharist, God Macabre and many more, their debut release will ensure an album that recalls memories of the forlorn underground scene in Sweden.<\/p>\n

Signing with Hammerheart Records in September 2024 to release this debut, Impurity\u0092s founding members, Esbj\u00f6rn, Curcic, and Ask are set to push the boundaries further, aiming to challenge and redefine modern Death Metal with their relentless sound.<\/p>\n
