However, since the celebrated \u0093Orkja\u0094, the band has clearly defined a signature “Nifrost sound”\u0097one built upon cold, ferocious sonic attacks, intense melodies, and charging guitars, proving they are more than capable of leaving their influences behind.
\nTraditional folk elements and the “necro” grit of black metal blend seamlessly with both harsh and clean vocals in this exciting new chapter, which further incorporates expansive and melodic song structures. While \u0093Orkja\u0094 was bathed in blue, \u0093Briseld\u0094 presents itself in red. Upon first listen, it is easy to recognize the balance between epic moments, such as the title track, and fast-paced episodes like “I stormens auge” and “Livskraft”.
