VOMITORY – in death throes LP dark rose marbled

In any serious conversation about death metal, Vomitory’s name is a must-mention. Formed in 1989, the Swedish band unleashed eight blistering albums between 1996 and 2011, cementing their status as genre titans before parting ways in 2013. However, their retirement was short-lived, as they returned to the stage in 2019 to mark their 30th anniversary. Now, three years after the release of their critically acclaimed comeback album All Heads Are Gonna Roll in 2023, Vomitory are back with their latest beast, In Death Throes.

The band shows no signs of slowing down. “After All Heads Are Gonna Roll dropped in May 2023, we went straight into the European festival season, playing Obscene Extreme, Alcatraz Open Air, and Hellsinki Metal Festival, among others. Later that year, we had the honor of supporting Vader on their 40th-anniversary tour across Europe, and we capped it off with a show at Mexico Metal Fest in Monterrey,” the band shares. Sadly, this Mexican gig marked the final performance for longtime guitarist Peter Östlund. “Peter just couldn’t keep up with the tour schedule, so we parted ways on great terms. Christian Fredriksson, who had partly stepped in for Peter during the recording of All Heads Are Gonna Roll, continued as our live guitarist throughout 2024.”
